An overweight 65-year Italian grandma preparing pasta for you, waiters singing and serving limoncello, full-bodied red wine, the most impressive art collections the world has ever seen.

What a place, what a country, what a feeling of life.

It’s a huge and outrageously successful brand.

To nail down what that is first, let me quote the great Ben Settle:
